Hi there! Let’s learn a new word with the consonant ខ (Khaw). Khaw makes the hard K sound. The word waste (like a waste of time or waste of money) is Khath.
First, you write Consonant Khaw ខ. Secondly, you attach Vowel Ah ា to ខ. That’s ខា (Khah). Lastly, you add Consonant Thaw ត. That makes the Th- sound at the end of the word. All together it is ខាត and that is pronounced Khath.
You see me using Vowel Ah in most lessons. I used to work as a paraprofessional and the teacher told me that repetition helps the student remember what they learn.
That’s all for today!
Love,
Molly
